HAGCM first arrived in Uganda to partner with a local pastor to build the Dunamis FM radio station in Mukono area. HAGCM soon realized radio was integral to life in Uganda.

Since HAGCM's first visit in 2004, partner FM radio stations have been added in Asamuk, Adjumani and Mbararra; other areas are in progress.

Adjumani's Usalama FM has been a particularly strong support to comforting the large South Sudanese refugee population living in this area. Camp leadership directed by the Prime Minister's Office requested HAGCM construct and equip a larger studio to facilitate larger tribal leader groups wishing to encourage refugees under their direction. That was completed late 2023.

HAGCM distributes solar radios to refugees, donated by partner ministries Sonset, Galcom, PSGL and individual supporters.
