Enjoying a meal
After 28 years of civil war, South Sudanese people had need of every kind of support. In response, Sudan Christian Ministries initiated the Ambassadors for Christ primary school on Prayer Mountain, located at the edge of the South Sudanese town of Kaya.
This strategic educational ministry has endured facilities collapse followed by a devasting fire that destroyed every building, at a time when little funds existed to pay staff and provide food for 450 very poor children. No textbooks exist there yet.
High Adventure partners rallied to rebuild the school with more durable materials, and provided a grinding mill to supplement food supplies and support and other small initiatives. But funds for food, textbooks and staff continue to be the school's largest unmet burden and a request for help is made to those concerned about children recovering from war.
