After many years of simmering tensions between Rwanda’s Hutu and Tutsis tribes, Rwanda suffered a genocide in which nearly 1 million people were slaughtered in 100 days, in the spring/summer of 1994.

Throughout the genocide, God’s servants worked hard to sustain life wherever possible and afterwards, waited on Him for opportunities to minister hope and healing to Rwanda’s 8 million people. One such couple is Pastor’s Joseph and Rose Karasanyi.

Joseph enlisted the partnership of High Adventure Canada and Blessings for

Obedience USA and in 2005; this team built Restore FM 98.0 for the Kigali area. Every day, Pastor Joseph reaches city and outlying communities with the Gospel message and many respond. Today, Pastor Joseph has partnered with Rwandan Christians to start 80 churches, supervising 200 pastors. But radio must expand to the rest of the nation.

Pastors Karasanyi also provide Christian based education for over 350 children of all backgrounds at their Kingdom Education Center in Kigali.

Pastor Joseph has an ongoing request for help to expand education, plant churches, and add radio stations as well as leadership training for pastors. High Adventure has partnered with him to help as the Lord provides.
