During the 1980’s as Uganda continued its recovery process from years of conflict many people fled to the Nakyessa Village area in search of a peaceful existence. As they arrived, the leadership of Prayer Palace Ministries in Kampala recognized an opportunity to bless disadvantaged people with free Christian based education.

Bishop Grivas Musisi s family donated land and soon, the Nakyessa Primary and Secondary Schools were born. Partners were sought; some help arrived and facilities were constructed.

In 2004, High Adventure Gospel Communication Ministries (HAGCM) was invited to the schools and immediately joined with support.

Over the years, various projects have been undertaken by HAGCM, all with a view to facilitating self-sustainability so Christian education would continue. Projects included a new equipped library, computer education, water harvesting and storage, new energy conserving kitchens, an animal husbandary and agricultural project and an onsite clinic as well as teacher support.

HAGCM project for 2015 will be a primary school solar power system and in for 2016 fund raising is underway for a new toilet facility, a new computer lab and a new girl’s dormitory.
